We at Duraturn have a simple environmental viewpoint – respect people and the earth and use technology to minimize environmental impact. As a result, we use less energy and create less waste in the manufacture of our quality tires. R&D has also integrated more environmentally friendly tire compounds into our tires while enhancing performance and safety.
For example, we use a nitrogen vulcanization process in manufacturing our passenger car radial tires. This environmentally friendly process uses about 25% less energy during production. Less coal is being used to create energy, resulting in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
Our R&D has developed tire compounds that improve tread life and reduce the rolling resistance of our tires. Reducing rolling resistance improves fuel efficiency – reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
